Bjbilly Posted February 22, 2023 #1 Share Posted February 22, 2023 Are the steam room and sauna on the N Statendam free or do you have to join the spa thank you for any info
Rare Haljo1935 Posted February 23, 2023 #2 Share Posted February 23, 2023 You would need to buy a Thermal Pass. They go quickly, so sign up early. Usually $149/week or $50 single visit. If you add another service, it could reduce the weekly price to $110. I have considered this for a while and finally did it for both weeks on my last cruise - it was fabulous!! tompeter Posted February 23, 2023 #3 Share Posted February 23, 2023 There is free single sex Sauna, however for any Steam you need the Thermal Pass.
OlsSalt Posted February 23, 2023 #4 Share Posted February 23, 2023 Never once did I ever uncover where the free sauna rooms were located on any ship I have been on, or labeled. (Never once did I ask either.) Always vaguely reported to be "near the entrance of the Lido pool or spa, salon area". I would look in passing, but never saw anything obviously giving their location away. Should this stay a semi-guarded secret. Perhaps?

Gunther1 Posted February 23, 2023 #6 Share Posted February 23, 2023 I have used the free ( I prefer "no additional charge" ) dry saunas on almost every HAL ship I've been on

Gunther1 Posted February 23, 2023 #8 Share Posted February 23, 2023 Just ask . It's the most direct way to find out. On some ships, , it's near the ping pong table on the lido deck. On others, it's kinda hidden in the spa area.

OlsSalt Posted February 24, 2023 #10 Share Posted February 24, 2023 Here is the area on the Eurodam where the saunas might be located - has anyone ever seen them identified on a deck plan - why the secrecy?
tompeter Posted February 24, 2023 #11 Share Posted February 24, 2023 Why the Secrecy? Maybe they would rather have you purchase a pass to the Thermal Spa? 1

They are not on the deck plan but they are marked on the ship. They are open 8am-8pm. When closed there is a large watertight door that is shut so it is not as obvious that they are there. The free dry saunas are in the same location on all 'dam ships except the two listed below. (Warning- on some of the ships m/f locations are reversed. Avoid embarrassment. Read the signs before entering. 😆) Below is the free sauna on the Neiuw Statendam and Koningsdam Edited February 24, 2023 by ShipWalker
