  1. Never knew the exuberance over escaping a $20 corkage fee. Now I know how Charlie Bucket felt
  2. Pkease expkain this change fee to me. I know What it is but why? Aren’t people calling all day because the fare dropped, or they want to upgrade cabin, change beverage package Cancel an excursion etc. These are all changes right? Example - The cruise fair dropped $500 before final payment. No problem sir, we will get you the lower fare minus the change fee we charge to do this. I don’t get why Joe shmo can’t book a cruise a year out. He then finds out immediately, that the date won’t work, so he’s charged $100 to pick a different cruise when people are calling all day making changes
  3. I see people dragging small children to Eden for shows that start at 11:pm whatever happened to bedtime?
  4. Once you check into the spa, you get robe and slippers, walking to t-pool, tile loungers in robe is customary. Walking around the ship ina robe runs the risk of having a net thrown over you
  5. Well - I don’t see the property brothers coming aboard anytime soon with sledgehammers in tow to redesign the balconies.
  6. The cruise line should up the price of the cruise by $500 and advertise free tips. The tips would have actually cost $224 but the customer is so excited he’s getting free tips that he doesn’t realize the cruise line is putting an extra $274 into the cruise lines account. A win win for everyone. Can we please stop with the “I Want To Tip Accordingly ” the guy who stands on line at the end of the cruise and removes the tips, is not giving the $224 to who he seems appropriate.it’s more like $20 for waiter and $20 for cabin steward. That’s $40 vs $224 and I’m being extremely generous with my guesses.
  7. I have to laugh, be comfortable just wear sweat pants and crocs to the dining room. Yet the sweat pants and crocs never make the glossy cruise brochures or the commercials on television
  8. Here’s an idea - Get to the pier, remove tips and you can take care of your cabin and eat in the Lido. Sounds like exclusion right, but is it? There’s Club Orange The renting of cabanas Joining the thermal spa for the week. i can’t do any of these things without paying extra.
  9. Eat fruit loops, bread pudding and ice cream why take a chance?
  10. It’s a cheap way to cruise , book cabin complain of creaking and get OBC or get moved to a better cabin than you paid for.
  11. 1. Because you’re cheap 2. Because you lost too much in the casino 3. Because you spent too much on booze 4. Because you’re a “New Cruiser” who saved all year for this cruise. (This is the newest batch of BS I’ve read recently) 5. Because you had unrealistic expectations that could never be met.
  12. Yes I have witnessed this several times on cruises. Large party next to us, having this poor waiter jump through a million hoops every evening then on the last night they do a no show. Yes I’m sure I’ll hear “How Do You Know They Didn’t Tip him Earlier?” Because the waiters face told the story. if you want to remove the tips, do it at the pier After that there’s no turning back. If the passenger gets dirty looks all trip, who cares?
  13. Adjust grats? what percentage up the grats 1%? why would one adjust the grats lower? Everything was going swimmingly but the dude in the Lido burnt my toast, so now I must stand on line and “Adjust” the gratuities? Sounds weird
  14. Cruiser A - Leaves the tips in place is low maintenance and has little to no needs. Cruiser B - Removes the tips. They want ice five times a day, towel animals, chocolates on pillows, orders three entrees and four desserts. The tip removers don’t tip the crew members individually. Total BS
