Questions about getting to Moorea post cruise by ferry

Hi cruisers! When we finish up our Oceania cruise in April we will be heading to Moorea for a couple of nights at the Hilton.  Is the ferry dock walkable (with luggage) from the cruise dock?

When the ferry arrives to Moorea will there be cabs waiting (it will be Sunday if that makes a difference) or do we need to prearrange transport to the Hilton?

Last time we did this was 19 years ago.  You might have more current luck getting info from TA forum or Reddit.  Or search back through old posts.  However what we did was just walk straight off our cruise right down the dock with our bags and bought tickets for the next ferry, rode across.  We had, however, already rented a car so that was waiting for us when we got off.
