Low water in Venice

We are planning a stay in Venice mid April. Pictures posted recently showing dry or very low water in the canals do not look good. Will be our first visit. Should we be concerned? Hopefully, the tide will rise, it will come a good rain.

Currently I see not need fro you to be concerned.

The current situation is very unusal and supposed to be due to a combination of various aspects including even the moon phase.

Thus, in your situation, I would look forward to a great stay in April.

You would be more concerned with a strong acqua alta which is what Venetians call a super high tide that floods the city. The affected canals are small, minor ones-- not the large ones that Venetians depend on for transportation. This is a once in a moon (literally) fluke. It'll be fine.

Thank you for your reassuring words.
