Traffic delays to Galveston from San Antonio?

We are driving  from San Antonio tomorrow on the Houston toll road and I-45 to Webster, staying the night and heading over to Galveston Sunday morning to get on the Ruby Princess. We looked up traffic construction on I-45 and it looked like there was a lot going on then. Can anyone tell us if we can get through on I-45 to Webster like we usually do or we should find another way? Any help will be greatly appreciated.

Use Google Maps.  It give great real-time traffic directions.

If it appears to be a problem go highway 3 Old Galveston Road all the way to Galveston from Webster
