The other consideration credit card wise is spend.  One sailing can usually satisfy any intro bonus spend requirement.  Some cards including many airline cards give you something for spending enough.  In the case of airline cards, they reduce the requirements for maintaining airline status.  Delta waives the MDQ spend requirement if you spend at least $25000/year
