Cruise frenzy Posted March 9, 2023 #1 Share Posted March 9, 2023 I received an invitation to bid on an upgrade. We are currently in a handicapped inside cabin. If I bid on an obstructed window, is that bid for a handicapped cabin? Has anyone had a similar situation?? Thanks for all the help and suggestions. No, if you need a handicapped cabin, don't bid. Whatever cabin they give you is final, and your credit card is charged immediately.
happy42cruise Posted March 10, 2023 #3 Share Posted March 10, 2023 There is no place to say accessible cabin only so unless you can make a standard cabin work for you do not bid! I have read of someone who was upgraded to an accessible cabin but there are so few accessible cabins available that was a rare thing & they didn't need or want the accessible cabin so complained about being assigned to it. My husband is disabled so we need an accessible cabin but we can make a full suite work for us so if we can afford an upgrade to a suite we can bid, otherwise we do not want to risk a standard room assignment.
Rare Coral Posted March 10, 2023 #4 Share Posted March 10, 2023 I agree - don't bid if you need the accessible cabin.
