@Stumblefoot Due to some consulting work I do, I have access to SS's TA sight. I tediously looked up availability of each cat of cabin and cruise on my computer while listening to insipid music on my phone.

the Medical Center is moving to Deck 4, where the Casino was formerly.)

So where is the casino going to be?   I just booked a sailing for June 3rd of this year last week and one of my questions specifically was......the ship does have a casino?? Otherwise we do not want to sail on it,  and the written reply I received from a Concierge travel agent was " Yes there is a casino on all of their ships. Some are really small having only a handful of machines and just a couple of tables to much larger ones"

@mscdivina2016 When I looked at the deck plan post July 17, 2023 which is what I assume the ship will look like after dry dock (though I do not know for sure) there is no casino. I do not see one on either deck plan though I may have missed it. I wonder if they removed it on the first go around of rebranding the ship from Crystal. When I compared it to the old Crystal deck plans it is gone.

@mscdivina2016 Silversea expedition ships do not have casinos. This ship was built by Crystal before its bankruptcy. Silversea took over the ship last fall, and the casino was not used; in the renovation, it will be eliminated.

Thanks everyone,

So I didn't have a specialist, I had an idiot.  Thank God I have it in writing because we are in penalty already.

I'm sorry you got bad information.  I hope it works out for you.  Are you going to try to get out of the cruise?

Already reached out and was informed I am in 50% penalty.  I am 100% not going without a casino.

They tried to play it off that I don't need one, plenty of other things to do.

Amex already emailed correspondence between me and rep told me not worry. Money already credited back to my account.Just need to hope they don't dispute it in the next 30 days.  I don't see how they could.

That's funny, I totally forgot about the rubber bands on the shower door.  The staff kept putting them on the door to keep it shut, and I'd take it off every morning for a shower, and they'd be back on whenever we came back to the room.  A quirky little thing; I thought nothing of it.

Also had a very aggressive closet light sensor that would go off if you walked to the bathroom at night.  Because the closet door couldn't close because of the latch issue.  The butler solved that problem on Day 2 by putting a piece of paper over the sensor so that the light would go on if you walked into the closet, but not if you walked by it.  Never bothered us again after the first night.

Love your comment about butler solving the light problem, please see comments in the thread about butlers -  clearly they are useful and often resourceful!!    😃

Only the classic ships have casinos, none of the expedition ships have them.

Endeavour is on the move. Left Genoa and is passing Monaco as of now. Looks like she will remain on schedule.
Happy cruising to all.

Oh thank you for the response. We are very excited. Since she is new to the fleet it is difficult to get information on her.

We have booked a "Classic Veranda Guarantee." I'm curious as to where we end up...especially with them adding new suites.

How was her "movement" in Antarctica? Not sure if you did the "Antarctic Bridge" or not?

Thank you for the information.

We also booked a guarantee but it is now listing our cabin number on “my Silversea”

Does anyone have any details as to the plans for Endeavour? I read that she may have some cabins added where the helipad is currently located. When and where may this take place? I also wonder if they plan to make any other changes to the ship. She looks beautiful. I'm curious because I sail her down to Antarctica, the Falklands, and the South Georgia Islands on her first fall trip on October 31st.

This will be my first Silversea trip, being a seasoned Celebrity cruiser. I think I'm going to be in for a treat based on what I'm reading.

I've done two cruises with Celebrity, so will be curious to hear your opinion.  We are going on Endeavour next year for a Greenland itinerary.

I certainly will share my impressions.😁 We are very excited to be going on an expedition cruise.

It was so tempting to do a cruise from Southhampton to Iceland and Scotland on one of Celebrity's newer ships, but we have decided we should try an 'expedition cruise' whilst we are still in our 50s, and leave the other itineraries until later.

We have done many Celebrity cruises and done the Edge when it was new. This is our second SS cruise and our first expedition cruise. I suspect it will be unique and a contrast from both Celebrity and our SS Moon cruise.
