Fort Lauderdale, FL  Mar. 9, 2023 – American Queen Voyages™,  part of Hornblower® Group, is kicking off 2023 by reinvigorating its culinary experience across its fleet of Rivers, Lakes & Oceans, and Expedition vessels. Guests voyaging through North America will be taken on a tasteful journey of gastronomic excellence as they not only explore each port’s sites, but also its unique flavors. Culinary Ambassador Regina Charboneau is heading up the new culinary programming, bringing elevated menus of regionally inspired cuisine to the dinner table.

"Exploring the tastes and flavors of a region is in the DNA of any travel experience, and by elevating our culinary program will enhance the guest experience, allowing travelers to truly immerse themselves in the region they are visiting," says Cindy D'Aoust, president, American Queen Voyages. "We are incredibly excited for our guests to embark on this new culinary adventure with us across all of our itineraries."

With Regina Charboneau's expertise, American Queen Voyages has refined its menus to feature dishes prepared withlocally sourced ingredients. Each menu will be tailored to their itinerary, showcasing the region guests are sailing through while telling a story about each port’s unique culture and history. Menus on the Lower Mississippi River are inspired by New Orleans culture and the Sicilian and German influence in the region. Some of the menu items include delicious dishes, such as seafood gumbo, chicken pontalba, and lobster rockefeller.

“Guests are in for a treat with our new menus,” says Regina Charboneau, culinary ambassador, American Queen Voyages. “The revitalized culinary program brings the culture of each region to life. In the Pacific Northwest, guests can expect Chinese and Native American influences. While on the Lower Mississippi River, guests can enjoy Cajun and Creole flavors.”

For an even more immersive culinary experience, guests can embark on a brand new Culinary & Cocktails themed cruise, in addition to the already popular Wine Cruises and Bourbon Cruises. These sailings will take all the elements of the elevated culinary experience and add in some surprises, such as special guests, cooking demos, cocktail tastings, viticulture seminars, culinary competitions, unique land excursions and more.

Additionally, American Queen Voyages recently partnered with PBS's hit show, America's Test Kitchen, signing on as asponsor for the 23rd Season. America's Test Kitchen is the longest-running cooking show in the U.S. on public television since 2001. Both brands are committed to culinary excellence and have partnered to bring travelers and viewers a one-of-a-kind culinary experience in 2023 and beyond.
