Jenna1983 Posted March 21, 2023 #1 Share Posted March 21, 2023 I’m guessing kind of how I’ve dressed on an East Coast winter this year (40’s-50’s during the day a lot) is what I should plan to wear in Alaska for my Brilliance April 30-May 7 cruise? Northern Aurora Posted March 21, 2023 #2 Share Posted March 21, 2023 Weather in our state is becoming more unpredictable. Layers are your key. Ensure that you have a waterproof (not water resistant) outer layer. Prepare for temperature ranges from 30s to mid 60s F. Who knows what you will experience.
wolfie11 Posted March 21, 2023 #3 Share Posted March 21, 2023 Also, prepare for it to be windy. This is the end of the spring storm season. Forty degrees and rain with a wind blowing at 40mph and it's hard to stay warm.
donaldsc Posted March 21, 2023 #4 Share Posted March 21, 2023 Check out Weatherspark on the WEB. Best climate (not weather but climate) site I have found. DON

NA - I am soooooo over the snow I'm dealing with here at my home in the mountains of Utah. 2 more feet from last night to Saturday expected with another good foot coming in next Wednesday. My winter work season has been extended to April 23rd and I fly up to Seattle on the 28th for my Alaska cruise that starts on the 29th. Should I just bring what I've been wearing??? I'm a sucker for my Woolx leggings with one of my insulated mini skirts and then boots. I was thinking those, with a pair of jeans, some long sleeve Ts with my Patagonia vest and my Patagonia jacket and rain shell and I'll be good. I'm very used to the cold and I don't even own a parka, just the Patagonia down sweater. I'm a layering pro. Yes, I'll dig out a pair of gloves and a toque to wear... I should have listened to myself and just drove down to Las Vegas...
