PREMIUM WIFI AND STREAMING

With premium wifi is streaming like with Netflix, Hulu, Apple, etc work well? In so many reviews there’s complaints about slow wifi and wondering how hard it is too watch movies while streaming.

It’s really going to depend on how close the wifi access point is to your cabin. The access point is the white thing in the ceiling in the hallway.

Wifi signals are not strong in and of themselves. If your cabin is close to one of these access points, then the signal may be strong enough to get into the cabin for streaming purposes.

I wouldn’t plan on it. But maybe. Download shows and movies to your device beforehand.

I was on Celebration a month ago and this was something I was concerned about as well

 

The answer is "sometimes" and "Depends on streaming service"

I think it will also depend on how new your device is.

 

I didn't try every app, but was able to stream Peacock (Live racing) with no problem. Youtube TV was spotty. Pluto was no problem. Youtube itself was no problem.

 

Funny, but TikTok and Instagram was terrible, they must use a lot of fat data

I guess I will download a bunch on Netflix just in case. I liked the old days when Carnival had network TV. Now nothing to watch.

My wife and I watch the Travel Channel when vegging out in the cabin. Usually it's playing Ghost Nation or some other ghost story show. Just mindless TV for us.

On Celebration I was streaming Thursday Night Football in the middle of the Atlantic

I would not depend on streaming. Their satellites only have so much bandwidth.  We were able to wifi text and read emails with no issues.

i couldnt get any service to stream last november. it would start but glitch every few minutes. wasn't worth it.

I streamed live sports on the Mardi Gras in January with very few buffers. It worked extremely well. I setup a projector on my balcony and watched some basketball games.
