Casino Offers and Next Cruise

Recommended Posts

So we elected to do the next cruise on the last voyage as we got an instant reward.  We simply filled out the form and left it in the box at next cruise.  They charged our $200 deposit to our room.  When we returned home, we booked one of them and linked it to our next cruise deposit. We just had to pay the port charges - $200.  Easy peasy.

My question is, they allow you to book up to 3 deposits at that time.  So if we were to buy say two deposits at a time, if we wind up taking one of the club royale offers vs an instant reward, or our annual prime cruises (2), we would then get the $50 or $100 next cruise onboard credit as well?  It says you have up to a year to book the deposit, so my assumption is you can link it later on.  This way you always get the OBC.  It is also fully refundable once you making the booking as the $200 deposit just goes toward your port fees and if you cancel, you get it all back.

Does this sound right?  Are there any drawbacks?

I've heard different stories on this and have a limited personal experience as I've only been prime since Sept and haven't done the prime tier cruise yet but here it is

my first instant cruise certificate booked with the cruise next deal= didn't get obc even though the booking lady said I for sure had it and I couldn't get it resolved onboard. They kept on saying onboard that the wording of the cruise next booking was "dollars off" my cruise and since it was comped, I get zero. Since it was only 50.00 obc and I was new to the program I let it go

my second instant cruise certificate I was extra careful when talking to casino royale and learned that the obc is on the emailed invoice they send you so I double and triple checked and I got the obc as promised

my third comped cruise via mailer I used a spare certificate I had and the obc didn't show up on my invoice that was emailed and I had to call back and get it added, they were like oops I'm sorry, our bad

so who knows, it really depends on who you get when you call. I've also talked to people and cruise next agents about the refundability of that certificate when used for port taxes and fees and have gotten mixed answers and have never personally had to cancel

sorry if that's not helpful but that's just my current experience

I do know for a fact they will not allow you to book your annual prime cruise at NextCruise for th obc. Many have tried and failed. There's a FB group that has LOTS of Prime folks who are very knowledgeable. Just search Casino Royale
