Viking Paris to the Swiss Alps

We land in Paris on Thursday, March 30 for this adventure.  We have a 3 day pre cruise extension in Paris, then a day in Paris before boarding our ship in Trier.  I am concerned about what is happening in Paris now and whether it safe and whether we will be able to do any of the excursions.   Does Viking ever modify itineraries in situations like this?

Thanks for any feedback.   This is our first river cruise.

We are going on this same ship with you.  I called Viking about 2 days ago, they are still saying that everything is running exactly the same as planned.  They stated that they have not had any problems with their itineraries or excursions. I also asked about the safety concerns, they said that there hasn't been any problems with that either. Just keep an eye on your email, that's what they told me to do.  If they have any problems or changes, they assured me that they will immediately email me.
