Southern latitudes

I was excited to read this-I want to do this itinerary, but not when it is so cold! I thought the headline meant that this itinerary would be offered year round-oh well.

We land in Paris on Thursday, March 30 for this adventure. We have a 3 day pre cruise extension in Paris, then a day in Paris before boarding our ship in Trier. I am concerned about what is happening in Paris now and whether it safe and whether we will be able to do any of the excursions. Does Viking ever modify itineraries in situations like this? Thanks for any feedback. This is our first river cruise.

We found it to be not much higher than an internet package for 4. We also have a tender port. It's our first time using it, so we will see if it is worth it. I like the idea of priority embarkation and debarkation with a relaxing lunch first day and breakfast last day-that made it worth the slight extra over the internet, which we would purchase anyway.

We sail next week on meraviglia in YC. Second YC sailing-first one was fabulous but ship was at less than half capacity. I’m assuming that it will be close to full next week. Having said that, I have read that many cruise lines are sailing full but not with a full staff. Has anyone experienced that on MSC? In YC? Thanks for any insights
