Deviation to Zimbabwe

Our group of six did an awesome private deviation from the HAL 2023 World Cruise to Victoria Falls and the Hwange National Park. We used the website VictoriaFalls-Guide.net, which has extensive information about traveling in Zimbabwe, Zambia and Botswana. Everything you want to know in one place -- accommodations, restaurants, activities, visas, currency, etc. We booked everything except our flights through them and it was seamless. Even if you don't book through them, it is a wonderful resource. And going private was a huge savings over a ship's tour.

Thanks for the recommendation- we’re planning a side trip to Vic Falls and Botswana (Chobe) as part of our trip to South Africa next year. We’re regular visitors to SA, but the add on is new.

We flew AirLink from Maputo to Jo'burg and from Vic Falls to Cape Town. We flew Fast Jet from Jo'burg to Vic Falls. 

We went to Hwange by road from Vic Falls and Victoria Falls Guide arranged seats on a charter from Hwange back to Vic Falls to connect with our Air Link flight back to Cape Town. We did this in early March before Fast Jet started service between Hwange and Vic Falls.

In Vic Falls we stayed at Palm River Hotel. It was outside of town but they have a shuttle to town and all of our activities had transfers. It was peaceful to be on the river instead of in town.
