SNemeth Posted March 25, 2023 #1 Share Posted March 25, 2023 So, I know the policy is that 1 standard size bottle of wine or champagne can be carried on by each adult. Just curious if anyone has any experience with wine or champagne based beverages. I am curious if anyone has had issues bringing pre mixed mimosas or wine based margaritas etc as their one bottle per person. We are not really straight up wine or champagne drinkers and really not drinkers much at all, but might enjoy a mimosa on the balcony and it would seem like a hassle to go hunt up OJ to mix with the champagne etc. A chilled pre mixed bottle in the cooler might be nice to have. ARandomTraveler Posted March 25, 2023 #2 Share Posted March 25, 2023 Technically you cannot bring those, but whether they actually check your bottles or not is another story. If they check them, they'll probably take them from you. On my last cruise (in November), they didn't even open my suitcase to see what was in my bottles (and I went through security with them twice). Rare HappyTexan44 Posted March 25, 2023 #3 Share Posted March 25, 2023 If the answer is that you can't bring that on, one idea in the same theme would be Sangria. Bring red wine, then on the first morning grab the juice needed, mix and store in the cooler.
Tlbecker1 Posted March 25, 2023 #4 Share Posted March 25, 2023 I would bring champagne and make mimosas. Just bring down a glass of orange juice from the Windjammer. Super easy.
Cherful59 Posted March 26, 2023 #5 Share Posted March 26, 2023 My sister and I do what @Tlbecker1 mentioned above. It works fine for us. I have been on cruises where security checks my bottles and others where they do not since the restart, you cannot guess which it’s going to be.
