I’ve never dared to order it. That's a good one. It used to be quite large but the portion was pretty small the last time I ordered it. Have you seen someone get it?

We were greeted by an extensive display of fixings for mimosas and Bloody Marys. We decided on mimosas, although Tony went to the “buffet” later on and Cellar Master Khay helped him decide what to have in a Bloody Mary - a meal in itself. The mimosas were amazing, even lichees and gummy bears floating in them, and decorated with marshmallow bunnies and strawberries. I love the bunny napkin fold!

Yes, I’ve seen it at other tables, at least that’s what I think it was - maybe one thick slice of banana bread, cut in half diagonally with fruit around it.
Rare Vict0riann Posted April 10, 2023 Author #380 Share Posted April 10, 2023 (edited) After a nap we went to listen to the Dance Band. This time there were 6 couples dancing, so maybe it’s getting more popular. They said they will be off for a couple of days as they will be playing in the World Stage. Then dinner, we waited until 7:30, but we still were not very hungry, so it was an appetizer and dessert for all of us. More food porn. Rare Vict0riann Posted April 10, 2023 Author #383 Share Posted April 10, 2023 We felt a bit more of the motion of the ocean last night, the room has started creaking in time to the waves, and there was some banging. I thought it came from above, Pat thought it was one of the verandah chairs. It seems alright now. Laundry has been taking at least 2 days to get back. I think we will mention it to the lads, as Tony said his only takes a day. Maybe the port side has a slower laundry… Program for today.

Rare Vict0riann Posted April 10, 2023 Author #386 Share Posted April 10, 2023 Although we seem to be rolling a bit today, the sea looks almost like a millpond. I saw some small birds, or maybe it was flying fish. Heading east and a little bit north, I’m not sure if Captain van Dreumel is avoiding a storm to the south of us. A few lunch pictures from the Lido.
Rare Vict0riann Posted April 10, 2023 Author #387 Share Posted April 10, 2023 Sorry, pictures wouldnt load. There will be a ceremony out on the rear deck this afternoon as we pass over the site of the Titanic’s sinking. Hope there are no icebergs around… We will toast her inside at Happy Hour. 10

Rare kazu Posted April 10, 2023 #389 Share Posted April 10, 2023 Question Ann, please? I noticed on the BBKings drink menu it said that if you purchased a drink in excess of your beverage package you were only charged the dollar difference. Am I correct to assume that is ship-wide? It’s good news, if it is. Thanks 🙂

If you have the drink package, and you buy a drink that’s more that $11, you are just charged the difference, plus the gratuity on the difference. We’ve done it a few times in the Pinnacle.

Overhead Fred Posted April 10, 2023 #392 Share Posted April 10, 2023 There was a nice, brief ceremony at the site of the Titanic sinking. A memorial wreath was left there - 18

Rare Vict0riann Posted April 11, 2023 Author #395 Share Posted April 11, 2023 We decided at the last minute to go to Nami Sushi for a “light” dinner. Tony ordered a lot of tasty things, and it turned out to be not so light after all! Tempura vegetables and panko fried asparagus starters. Lobster tempura roll, soft shell crab roll and dragon (eel) roll And sundry raw fishes 10

Florida_gal_50 Posted April 11, 2023 #397 Share Posted April 11, 2023 Those tempura vegetables are a meal in itself! I ordered that and several other things on the koningsdam because I didn’t know how much to order. I could have ordered about 1/4 of what I did. I’ll know next time. 1
Rare Vict0riann Posted April 11, 2023 Author #398 Share Posted April 11, 2023 The dining room menu for this evening. It seems to me that with the special addition of the classic dishes from past sailings, they are not offering a Club Orange special.
