Half Price Sun Specialty Restaurants

Does the Sun follow a general guideline as to when they offer half price specialty restaurants? I've heard that sometimes they're offered the first night and I've seen them offered between 5:30 and 6:30 on the second night, which is the Captains Dinner in the main dining room.

our experience has been: capt night the second night which is the first night at sea: specialty 1/2 off usually offered, if at all, the first night. Sometimes it is offered to latitude members only, sometimes to everyone and yes, sometimes certain hours. You really won't know until you board the ship. On the Jewel it was the first night only and for latitude members only. Good luck, if you get it for 1/2 price good for you, if not enjoy anyway. NMNita

When we were on the Jewel half price was offered every night BEFORE 6:30. We were on the Jewel week of Feb 12

It will be the second night, but only at Il Adagio and Le Bistro. This is the Capt.s dinner where the main restaurants serve lobster and filet mignon.

Thank you for your replies. I guess it's a simple matter of supply and demand for the particular week. I'll keep my eyes open on the Freestyle Daily.
