Shore Excursion Sale closer to cruise date?

Just curious if they ever do a good shore excursion sale closer to the date of the cruise in order to get rid of inventory? There is a not bad sale that just started on my alaskan cruise but the cruise is 3 months out.

I guess memorial day is next big US holiday so maybe there is a possibility of a sale on that date.

I wouldn’t count on it.  I also would be worried that the excursion sells out and then you would miss out. If you see an ok price, I would book it and not wait for a sale.

Shore excursions get more and more expensive the closer to your cruise. Also, popular excursions often sell out months before a cruise. It is always best to book them as far out as you can.  If a price does drop you can cancel and rebook.

IMO excursions change in price based on their own dynamics and sales trends.  I check often and sometimes find price drops outside of published sales.  I also see some go up in price.  I check mine regularly long before the cruise.  

 

As the cruise gets closer they've probably already stimulated a slow selling excursion through a price drop earlier in time.
