Emerald Princess from LA to Hawaii, Best side of ship?

I would love to know from people who have cruised to Hawaii from LA if there is a better side of the ship to book.  Port or Starboard?  I have never thought about this before but this will be my first cruise this long with so many sea days on Princess.  And first cruise to Hawaii.  The cruise is in June, if that matters.  Any tips would be appreciated.  Thank you.

Starboard side I think is a lot better for seeing the town, diamond head etc.

Assuming the ship ties up starboard side to the dock, which is not guaranteed. Or you are up very early, when the ship sails into port.

No need to delete, it will fade into obscurity soon enough.

Thank you!!!  I have searched everywhere.  I haven't used CC in years and a lot has changed.  🙂
