I feel that way about reports of a whole cruise with "inedible" food. I suppose it's possible but I have taken some cheapo cruises and even the worst food has always been "edible."

So true.  I look at is as I don't have to make it and I don't have to clean up, so its fine with me.  And honestly if I'm still hungry, I can always find something else...soft serve and a cocktail always works.😁

If we're going to discuss food for the moment, I'd like to mention my displeasure at the lack of late night snacks, particularly lack of sweet snacks.

Don't need a midnight buffet or chocolate extravaganza, but it'd be nice if there was a place on lido with the little cakes and such they have at dinner time. Even cookies, just something.

Only choice after about 10pm is pizza

Agreed. If we don't love the MDR meal we run up to the buffet and somehow secure swallowable and digestible (and tasty IMHO) sustenance.  Even that is rare, though, because I have such an aversion to food waste I will usually just eat what I get even if I'm not crazy about it.

But obviously the inedible people would not do such a thing and might be mortified to even hear that such a practice exists.

Agree 100%.That can be easily remedied with either a small section of the buffet being open for beverages, cookies, pastries and/or a showcase at Javablue similar to what Celebrity does at Caf al bacio or Royal does at its promenade cafe. Obviously Carnival has no intentions of doing it and it's ashame.

It was the same on Mardi Gras when we sailed a couple years ago, and I think but am not sure it still is. I agree that's an odd miss.  They could even charge for it - i.e. Keep Java Blue or whatever the equivalent is on Luminosa open late night because people with drunchies will pay.

Is 24 hour soft serve available? Not that it's my favorite dessert but just curious now you mention it.

I always pack zip lock baggies.  Great for grabbing snacks for later, like cookies, or cold deli sandwiches to store in the frig.  Does Luminosa have Cherry on Top?  They have a jar of mini chocolate chip cookies which I'll sometimes grab too for a snack in the cabin.

There no separate Cherry on Top on the Luminosa. Instead it's relegated to a few prepackaged items for sale at Javablue.

This is about all Cherry on Top is.

Bonus question - Do you know what a "Curly Wurly" bar is? Do you know/remember what it was in the USA many many years ago?

Well it looks like there's a small candy by the pound section which is the 1st time I've seen that photo, so at least there's that.

Yes, and I think they are evaluating what regular features from the rest of the fleet to add to these ships.  The full store may appear at some point.

Marathon bar.

The Curly Wurly bar is made by Cadbury.

Might taste like Marathon (made by Mars) did,  but not the same.

HELLO!

Midday check in

Well, we're out of small bottles of water, only liter size and if you can believe it, some people are actually complaining about it.... From the FB group page (now locked)

"Well another blunder by this ship they are out of bottled water. They only have the large bottles left its an inconvenience we shouldn't have to put up with. It's just another issue that thos ship is not ready to carry the carnival name."

I mean, c'mon....Big baby

Then we have this...

That's what happens when you have a ton of diamonds and plats and a long azz cruise.

Casino offered me a 2nd night at steakhouse, but no wine....LOL

Maybe because I got two bottles last time...LOL

I am losing my mojo in the casino and dying a slow death.

This morning I realized the ugly fans on the ceiling in MDR, some actually have a purpose, ventilation.

Heading at 45º into a direct headwind

Little bumpy today

So on instantly programmable slots, probably pretty easy to have big payouts at the beginning of a longer cruise - get you hooked - and then reel you in during the last couple of sea days to not only make their money back, but help themselves to some of yours as well.

Table games would be harder to control. But anything electronic ...
