Port departure times

I should know better.. but I'm having a blank moment lol. If say the itinerary says we're there from noon till 8pm.. the 8pm is the time the ship departs isn't it? So last time to get onboard is probably 7.30pm? Obviously we would aim to be back well before then. Or is 8pm the last time to be back on board?

it should be the departure time & you would need to be onboard at least 30 minutes earlier, but maybe more

And if it's a tender port, the last tender back to ship is scheduled earlier, usually 45 minutes before the ship's departure time.

Also note that when you leave the ship there is a sign that indicates when all passengers must be back on board. Same for tender ports. There is a sign indicating the time for the last tender to ship.
