Horizon embarkation day lunch options?

Hello, all! New to carnival (been on Ecstasy last year) and looking for suggestions for yummy embarkation lunch on Horizon for hubs and me. We will have small carry~on duffles with us until rooms open up. Cruising in May in Cloud 9 spa balcony. Where do you like to lunch and get your first beverage? Also, any other Horizon tips would be great! TIA!

Go to either Ji JI's, Cucina del Capitano, or Pig and Anchor for lunch on embark day

 

They are usually uncrowded because people haven't discovered them yet.

I had seen that pig and anchor was only open for lunch on sea days. Excited to hear that it's also open on embarkation day!

Are JiJi’s and Cucina even available on embarkation day? (I’m not seeing them on the list.) and if so,  $, or included like Pig and Anchor? Thanks!

On Horizon, on Embarkation day, JiJi's & Cucina do not open until 5:30.

On Horizon, yes.  That Fun Times list is a little confusing.

We just got off the Horizon on Sunday and we had the pasta bar at Cucina for lunch on embarkation day.  It was only our family and one other family there.

This!!!!  It is so serene compared to the buffet on embark day.  Plus, you get waited on vs. standing in line with your carry ons.  Oh, and they're all free for lunch.
