Portsmouth Experiences

Our cruise departs from Portsmouth in early September... Anyone have experience using this port... Is it the ferry terminal that Oceania uses... Positive or negative appreciated

We used Portsmouth cruise terminal twice in 2021 when travelling on a couple of UK cruises with Viking.

It is a small terminal and after checking in we were bused out to the ship. The experience was positive but this was during covid times when numbers travelling were low.

We are boarding Marina in Portsmouth early September and experienced this port for the first time in late February cruising with Saga so chauffeur to and from the port was included. Really easy process and a small terminal to check in at then bussed to the ship to board. This time we’re driving ourselves and parking so not sure if it will be quite so smooth and easy.

rojojacko - I've previously looked at parking arrangements at Portsmouth (didnt do the cruise in the end). But it looks very straightforward with a multi-storey car park, opposite the terminal. It's not entirely secure but is "under constant supervision". My recollection was that there's also a parking company who have a "meet & greet" next to the terminal
