qa4ever Posted April 18, 2023 #1 Share Posted April 18, 2023 Looking for a place for a few days pre-cruise with a nice pool area/lazy river.
SteerageJoe Posted April 18, 2023 #2 Share Posted April 18, 2023 (edited) A few years ago I lived in Kissimmee for a while but I don’t recall any lazy rivers. Those were all closer to the Disney bubble near Maingate and then up near Universal. Do you want to stay near the attractions? Edited- I just remembered a lazy River at the Red Lion Resort in Kissimmee. Not sure if it’s still there! Have not stayed there so I cannot offer recommendations. I do know there are 3 lazy river hotels near Port Canaveral - Westgate Resort, Beachside Hotel and Holiday Inn Club. And you have the long white beach! Pyrate13 Posted April 18, 2023 #3 Share Posted April 18, 2023 If you're talking the Red Lion on Rt 192 at Poinciana Blvd., it's still there.
qa4ever Posted April 18, 2023 Author #4 Share Posted April 18, 2023 Thanks Steerage Joe! We are planning to stay in Orlando area for a few days and then make our way down to Ft Launderdale for our cruise, so staying in Port Canaveral doesn't really make sense. Red Lion does still seem to be there, I looked it up, but very pricey for what it is!
SteerageJoe Posted April 18, 2023 #5 Share Posted April 18, 2023 (edited) ok good to know the Red Lion on 192 is still up and running! Unfortunately lazy rivers and cheaper lodging don’t go together in Orlando! All of them are pricey but there is one other that may be cheaper- Flamingo Waterpark Resort in Kissimmee. otherwise, you may have to give up on the lazy rivers an just pick one of a thousand hotels with a pool! I don't think Flamingo has a lazy river though? Just waterslides?

dolita22 Posted April 18, 2023 #8 Share Posted April 18, 2023 The Signia Hilton Bonnet Creek has a lazy river. Nice pool area, too, and a great hotel!
Rothko1 Posted April 18, 2023 #9 Share Posted April 18, 2023 Go down to River Ranch in Lake Wales. They have a lazy river; it's called the Kissimmee River. 🙂 They also have a rodeo on Saturday nights...
