Balcony on the sphere on Sun Princess?

We are thinking of booking on the sphere, so that we would have a larger balcony.

I wonder if anybody has sailed in a cabin like this, and if being on the forward part of the sphere bumpout could mean issues with wind.  It seems like that forward extension of the ship would have to have considerable wind.

Since no sphere class ships have yet to sail on Princess how would anyone know

I know!  But there are many ships with bumpouts...

I know I have seen some fronts with almost gale force winds, but the aft facing areas were more protected.

Of course, I do know that.  I am not a newbie here.

But, forward facing cabins, and forward cabins on bumpouts are common.

The IONA, for example, has a very similar rounded bumpout.

Not quite as much as the new sphere will be.  But similar.

Iona and Arvia have larger balconies here - had one on Iona and was great.

Sun Princes looks like a different cabin configuration, hopefully comparing balcony sizes on the deck plan will help you choose!!

Yes.  10509 or 10514 would be amazing!

We did move to a balcony on the AFT side of the sphere bumpout.

Being in the first extend forward facing one seems like it might be sticking your hand out of a car window while moving..

Even the balcony size between 10512 and 19516 is a big difference. We were in 10602 - lovely size balcony

I can't imagine the wind on the bump out balconies would be significantly different from any other side-facing cabins one the ship. We sailed in the aftmost cabin on the port side of Lido deck on the Sapphire which is angled outwards to meet the bit where the full height windows around the pool area begin, and there was no problem with wind at all, just a slightly bigger balcony and better views than most other cabins on the side of the ship!
