Cruise Pricing Question

Hi, We are looking at 3 balcony cabins on a 7 day cruise out of miami on seascape this june and cant decide to buy it with or without the Wifi, Drink package, etc.  The cost for just the base cruise with Taxes is $2742 per cabin and with Wifi, Drink Package and i think Gratuities its $3347 per cabin. I have a general idea of what these items cost from other cruise lines, but this is our first MSC cruise so any thought on whether or not we should by then with or without the packages?  We are a party of 5 and 3 of us are under 21 so although we will get drink packages for everyone, 3 will be the non alcohol one.  We also do plan on buying WIFI for everyone.

Thoughts?

thanks in advance.

Drinks on MSC vary in price but are generally priced at either $7 or $10 to fit into the packages.  There are some drinks that are $14 or more, but almost everyone can find a drink for $10.  You'll just need to weight out how much you'll drink and whether it's worth it or not.

Just do the math in terms of not only the drinks cost but what wi-fi is worth to you.

Up until recently, if you were a drinker, it was almost a no-brainer in terms of going with the drinks and wi-fi package.  While still more attractively priced than many competitors, the price of the included drink/wi-fi package has increased and, depending on your sailing and the actual numbers, it may or may not make sense to add it.

It was a few years (and probably way different packages!) ago, but @Stockjock is right.  Since everyone in the same cabin needs to have a package (ideally the same), we did our reservations so that the two over 21's were listed in the same cabin, and the others in the second cabin. It may be cheaper.  That being said, you are showing about $200/cabin for seven nights, and that's a pretty good rate.

The two options with MSC current offers.

- just cruise fare with taxes , double occupancy

- drinks, WiFi and $50 OBC offer for balcony booking.

Daily Service Charge is additional to either offer. This is per person per day ($14.50)

Is there a way to see the prices of WIFI and Drink packages prior to booking?

Someone on this forum ,who has 7 day Caribbean booking , can get prices by checking their cruise details and checking drinks and internet packages with prices.

Please post here if you can help.

I do not have a current booking.

Just Searched and did some math and the savings on without the package would be ~$1800 but to add it back on the cruise would be ~$2500 so its a good deal.

thx for the info.

MSC site shows both prices that way you get to see the discounted price for the drinks/WiFi.

It's rare to pay for the package standalone when the is a discount deal.
