Grand Suite perks and luggage

We have booked a grand suite on Independence of the Seas and I know that we get priority boarding.  Will the suites be ready early or do they have a place for you to securely store your carry on items while the rooms are being prepped?  Thank you for any advice about the grand suite perks.  All info is appreciated.

We sail mostly in Grand Suites. Luggage arrives no faster than any other room. And you are stuck with your handcarry until the rooms are released like other passengers.

There no embarkation day luggage or cabin availability perks for grand suites on Indy.

Agree on luggage, unfortunately no suite restaurant, but suite is normally ready by 2 or before. You do get a 3 hour happy hour normally from 5 to 8 , concierge is there if you need reservations for anything, he will also escort you off the ship at end of the cruise. We like the suite breakfast which will be in a specialty restaurant. You should get a email from concierge 5 days before you sail and he will list the perks you get .

The perks for Grand Suites on Explorer (Voyager Class) say private seating for breakfast and lunch.  What exactly does this mean? Special menu in private restaurant or just private seating once you go through the WJ line?  Thanks 😀

There was a section in WJ for suites only , no special menu .

I have stayed in Grand and Owners suites on voyager class ships and this is the first time I have heard of a special section on embarkation day in WJ.  Can you tell me a little more about it? I travel solo and it is hard to find seating when you are alone and can't save seats while getting food. Have tried all the techniques like tilting the chair. leaving a book but nothing seems to work. A reserved area would be so much easier.

I haven't heard about reserved seating in WJ for suites on a RC ship in years.

It’s been more than 5 years since I have done voyager class , but there was a section clearly marked saying suites , but I also remember this not being enforced by rccl , same as we have complained about non suite passengers using suite area reserved seats by the pool . I would double check with concierge

I wouldnt leave the carry on anywhere if you have meds or passports in there.

You wouldnt want those to be misplaced .
