So how much would it cost?  I'm a little confused here.  We have the classic drink package but want the premium beverage package.  Is it $20.00/day plus 20% gratuity MINUS 10%.  Or is it $20.00 plus 20% per day=$24.00?  On the website they have a "special" upgrade your drink package $18.99/day plus 20% gratuity and it says it's a 5% discount.  I haven't pursued that yet though.

From my experience it would be 18.99 less 5% then 20% gratuity.  (18.99 x .95 = 18.04 x 1.2 = 21.65/day). Conversely, without your discount it would be 18.99 x 1.2 = 22.79/day.  So your Captains club status gives you a savings of $1.14/day.  Hope this helps.  You do need to call pre-cruise to take advantage of the discount.

Hello,

I just called yesterday to inquire about the upgrade price with my select discount.  I too am sailing on a 10 day in October.  The Celebrity Rep quoted me $424.40 for both my self and my husband, so $212.20 additional per person.  I told him I had to ponder this...I remember the days when my onboard credit completely covered this and then some.  I'm thinking I may not upgrade as our cruise is very port intensive with an overnight in Alexandria.  I may just pay for the upcharge per drink.  It may come out significantly cheaper!  Hope this helps!

It may well be cheaper, depending upon what you drink.

The Classic has a $10 limit so if you like a wine (s) that are $11-12 a glass you are ahead unless you drink a lot of wine.  The Martini Bar martinis are another matter.  They are now $15 and  the the difference with tip is $6.  One or 2 of those and some wine over $10 and the savings disappears fast.
