Hello all, excited about my cruise from Treite . FYI -  Staying a day in Venice a day after the cruise.

 

Here's the question.  Can I take a taxi from the airport to the cruise port and give them my luggage well before check in?

 

If so, then  where nearby do you suggest I go to walk around, eat drink and explore?

Are you flying in same day? To Venice?  It's still quite far from the cruise terminal in Trieste. 

You can drop off your luggage around 10am.  Can't say what there is to see there but if you are just arriving after travel I imagine you'd rather just get onboard the ship.
