jnj0292 Posted March 13, 2006 #1 Share Posted March 13, 2006 Does anyone have a sample or template of a passport-inspired invite that they would not mind sharing with me? I am new to this site and apologize if there is one already floating around somewhere. I am planning on making them for my STD mailing. Thanks!! MrsZig2B Posted May 18, 2006 #3 Share Posted May 18, 2006 Hello! I was at Target on my lunch break and decided to walk through the scrapbook aisle. I, like you have been searching for something to help with a passport save the date. THey have in mini passports for scrapbooks there so I bought one and am going to use it to create my own. Once I get started I will let you know how it works. You can contact me at michelegriego@comcast.net if you have found some thing else or want to share ideas. Canukfa Posted May 22, 2006 #4 Share Posted May 22, 2006 Hi All, I was thinking, what a great idea. So I did some searching and found this site: http://www.sonic.net/~eighmi/feedtheturtle/templates.html It is a really in depth page on how to do these just click on the side where it says passport themes. jnj0292 Posted May 24, 2006 Author #5 Share Posted May 24, 2006 Thank you for all of your suggestions. I actually did use the template from "Amy in Sydney" that Canukfa mentioned. It was great having a template to work from. The only problem was that the template was designed for size A5 paper, which is a European size and hard to get locally. I did find a paper distibutor online that did have it and shipped it to me rather quickly - www.graytex.com. I am not that savvy when it comes to posting pics, but I could email an attachment of my individual pages to whoever would like to see it. For the actual passport cardstock cover, I used the A6 foldover cards from www.paper-source.com in the color "Lake." Instead of the traditional emblem on the cover, I used a palm tree stamp in platinum. Overall, I am very happy with the results. However - it was VERY time consuming!! amc80 Posted March 18, 2011 #14 Share Posted March 18, 2011 I had my boarding pass style invites designed from Jessica at http://thestylishscribe.com/ She does an awesome job. She's doing passport invitations for me. I'm lucky, I live in the same town as she does, so I get to meet up with her to go over everything. Her work is amazing.
