In that case, hold onto your eyes. We have a 7am departure after a cruise in March, but it works because the ship overnights in the arrival port.

Then you need to report back so that you can claim the trophy (although it might have an asterisk).

Delta

It would appear there's some confusion or something, did the ticketing agent agent open your on the computer?  The standard is 45mins-3H and it's not uncommon for major airports to accept them beyond 3H

I agree with some earlier posts, for me I wouldn't book a domestic flight with a departure time any earlier than 11am out of FLL.

People have booked flights with earlier departure times (9am is the most eye popping aggressive I've seen reported so far), but I personally couldn't do it because I don't want to be worrying about it during the whole cruise.

Out of FFL I've done 8:45, 8:47 and 8:49, that early of a departure gets me to LAX before noon, local time.  It's a gamble yet have a plan if I miss it, have Clear and airline status which gets me into the priority ticketing line

Congratulations, you are the current holder of the trophy for successfully catching a 8:45 am departure.

So, it will be a domestic flight. We will be able to self-disembark. No mobility challenges. We'll probably take an Uber to the airport. We'll fly out of FLL. We don't have status with the airline or TSA pre-check.

If you want to make an early flight

1)  Have a backup plan if you miss your flight; know what the airlines policy is if you're unable to make it.  Some will re-book to a later flight for free but you have to call them before the flight takes off; some will give you a credit but you're entirely on your own booking a same day flight which could be expensive

2)  Use a cab, get cash at the casino cashier, too many issues with ride share including them cancelling rides and the they take 2-3X as long as the ride share app says because there can be congestion at the port checkpoint; a cancellation will probably have you waiting at least 15mins

3) Pull up to the curb side checkin, if the line isn't too long simply check in your luggage there

If you follow that above, my two cents is 10am

FYI, the worst part about missing a flight is not getting descent seats on the re-booked flights; since it's so last minute, you could be separated and each sitting in middle seats

I have to be the outlier here but can't tell you how many times our ship has arrived an hour or two (or more!) late into port.

Fog, unfavourable currents, a medical emergency at the final port before home - they can all cause problems.  In fact, arrived on NCL into Manhattan two hours late just this past weekend because of said strong currents.

And flights are FULL - saying that your biggest worry is not sitting together if you miss your flight is not based in reality. These days, if you miss your flight you could be stuck for days trying to get back.

It's not a game show .... give yourself plenty of time and have a drink at the airport.

Anything before 11:30 am would make me sweat.
