I booked a hostel for a for one night (for a cruise) and now not sure if the booking will be honoured because I noticed it can't be reserved too far in advance and it was booked at a dirt cheap price (around 30 CAD person/night) . This booking was done around December for an October stay. I would like to know the chances if it would be honoured by anyone who have done this before?

Not exactly. I look for four-bed rooms, and a "hostal" which is one notch up from a hostel, usually works out better value. The one time I used a hostel for a one-night stopover it was inconvenient and hard to find.

If you are arriving in the morning to drop off bags and can confirm the booking, might be worth the risk.
