hey I as on the Freedom sailing back to Florida. I was one of the Not in the majority age demographic of the sailing. I usually sat in the same spot in the Adult comedy shows (I Usually got heckled). Also good to see your view. I also noticed this sailing was a bit quiet (as said in other post it is the go to bed early crowd) and heard on the last day the ship isn't full (approx 1500 guest on board (not every bed filled).

www.aerolopa.com is the go to now. Although it is up to you to determine if the seat will be good or not. another decent website to use is www.seatmaps.com. it has similar works to SeatGuru but accurate. Also you will be able to find some non-major airlines and charter airlines on it.

Probably people didn't have the experience you did. I was on two cruises that each had a hurricane. the first was 2003 where it was an Eastern Caribbean. where the storm just forced to do the Western Caribbean circuit, but arrived two days late. for those two days it addition minutes for the internet were given not much though (yeah before wifi existed on ships) and a couple free calls. the second time was in 2011 already at the 2nd port of call Grand Turk and another ship was docked next to us. Nice at arrival, but quickly went to terrible weather as a Tropical Storm was approaching. Both ships got out early as the storms outer bands were arriving while I heard that the other ship's guests were disappointed because the storm ruined the itinerary. The third point got changed for my cruise and went west to Cozumel and it stayed as a 7 day cruise.

I booked a hostel for a for one night (for a cruise) and now not sure if the booking will be honoured because I noticed it can't be reserved too far in advance and it was booked at a dirt cheap price (around 30 CAD person/night) . This booking was done around December for an October stay. I would like to know the chances if it would be honoured by anyone who have done this before?

I just want to say reading this thread gave me some giggles on what to expect on a Journeys cruise since I am going on a Transatlantic one in October (The one where Freedom should gets back her Whale Tail). It is more funny that I will be most likely an outlier for for the average of the guests on board.
