Another thing to watch out for on BOGO

Our flights out are on an airline (United) operated by another airline, Air  Canada.

There is of course a confirmation code. I confirmed with my TA that that was the code to use when checking the airlines website. But, it turned out United could only do certain things, but not others like seat selection. And luckily, I called them and asked if it was the same confirmation # for Air Canada. It was not, but they were able to give it to me. Otherwise, nothing would have worked on Air Canada because I would not have had a valid confirmation number.

And here's a funny--the number ended in US. So I said US as in United States meaning both the U and the S. He said I was short one digit as he took United States only for the U when I meant both letters. 🤣, But, it was not hard to correct when I realized what had been done.😉
