Did MSC change its policy regarding “free drinks and Wi-Fi“?

No. That would then be my choice. Of course technically it's not free (what is). Basically, the ad is saying it's free UNLESS you pick bare bones service. NCL does the same thing and adds a ton of fees on top of it.
