tbmrt Posted June 6, 2023 #1 Share Posted June 6, 2023 Saw something about Seaman Cafe which is located as you come out of the tunnel and is walkable from VV (IF THEY ARE OPEN). Thought it would be a good place to hang out if we arrive too late to head to Bayside and too early to get on line. Has anyone been there? Not sure if it is open though. Not much recent info about it.
YXU AC*SE Posted June 6, 2023 #2 Share Posted June 6, 2023 Yup. Was there in April pre our JLo delayed TA departure aboard Valiant Lady. We dropped our bags at the terminal and walked down -- they have indoor and outdoor seating, Had a pint in the sun. We then went to see friends off on Disney Dream. We came back, stopped in again (we still had time to kill). Had another pint. We walked back to Terminal V, got our wrist bands, and priority boarded w/ Deep Blue Extras, and were onboard within five mins of boarding being available. Scott. tbmrt Posted June 6, 2023 Author #3 Share Posted June 6, 2023 So glad to read this..Figured we'd start our drive from Naples at 9 AM or so. Arriving on a Wednesday - 3 ships in port. Depending on traffic I don't think we'd arrive early enough to want to go to Bayside via shuttle and back to the ship. This place is a great alternative to waiting in the sun or in our car. Just checked google maps....Is there a safe place to walk between these terminals? Looks like just driving lanes.
YXU AC*SE Posted June 6, 2023 #5 Share Posted June 6, 2023 Sidewalk on the south side of N. Cruise Boulevard. Traffic (despite seven vessels in port) was surprisingly benign. Scott.
Rare LMaxwell Posted June 7, 2023 #6 Share Posted June 7, 2023 If you leave Naples at 9AM you'll be at the port by 10:30. I would strongly encourage a different/better Miami dining experience to kill some time before heading to the terminal.
