Question re one spouse is Elite, one is not

I think I read sometime in the past that if your spouse, residing at the same address, is not at your Captain's Club level you can have them linked to your account. Does this require a call to the CC desk, or is it automatic? I know I have already purchased pre-cruise drinks packages and Internet and I (we) got the Elite discount, but I'm not sure if it's also automatic once we're on board without formally linking us.

Check your boarding pass.  If it doesn’t say Elite on both, call Captain’s Club

You have to link the accounts if they aren't already. The spouse can see their status by logging onto their own Celebrity account. If their status isn't the same as yours, they aren't linked and you'll need to call the Captain's Club to link them.

The main thing is to tell your spouse that he/she is elite to you regardless.
