Tours in Tahiti and Marquesas

We are interested in taking a half day tour in Tahiti after our cruise since our flight doesn't depart until 9:30 PM. I do have a day room arranged at a hotel. Does anyone have a recommendation for a good tour to take in the afternoon? Also if anyone has been to Taiohae, Nuki Hive in the Marquesas and has a recommendation for tours there. For some reason the one tour available on Paul Gauguin website isn't offered on our sailing. There seems to be very limited options in the Marquesas.

I would Google tours on Tripadvisor for Nuku Hiva.  We did an amazing full day tour taking us to all sorts of beautiful spots, with cultural and historical input.  It included a 4x4 tour as well as boat tour and lunch.  Nuku Hiva is stunning it would be a shame not to explore it as much as you can. This is the email address of who we used, but it was 11 years ago: claudepua@mail.pf

Below is the information he sent us about the tour:

We can organize a full day tour in the 4 valleys.
We will pick you up at your arrival on the dock ( at about 8 h. ) and we
will leave in the comfort of an air-conditioned 4 x 4 for TAIPIVAI ( where
lived Herman Melville ) - HOOUMI - HATIHEU - AAKAPA with stops at intervals
to view the scenery from the heights and the remains of habitations.
In our tour you will visit Kamuhei and Hikokua Pae pae.
We will stop by the best sculptors of the island.
We will have lunch in HATIHEU by Yvonne ( local food ) : Yvonne is the best
restaurant on Nuku Hiva
We will bring you back in time for boarding to the dock. We always work with
cruise ships like the Paul Gauguin  and we never had any problems.
The duration of this excursion is about 7 hours.
Our method of payment is cash to the guide : 12 500 cfp per person or 105
euros per person including lunch without drinks.
English speaking guide.
We guarantee you will spend an unforgettable day.
There is nothing else to do...just waiting for August 25 th.
We will have a sign so you will easily find us at the pier which is situated
in Taiohae.
The minimum number of guests is 4 and we have several vehicles which can
take 30 guests in all.
