UK cruiser to US with pre existing heart condition- any ideas on cost effective cover?

Hi,

We have had an annual travel insurance policy with Aviva for many years and no issues with my husband's pre existing heart Arrhythmia ( had since a child, stable and done 38 years in RAF so not an issue!). He has had one stroke but due to a birth defect called a PFO and over 8 years ago so that no longer causes an issue.

We have had worldwide cover to date with no issues but when I try to add on US of our Caribbean cruise in Nov they won't cover his heart condition ( will cover everything else) and suggested we get cover just for that element but no joy. The cost of a single trip for him is coming up at over £450 on cheapest cover which is  more expensive than our couples annual policy! We have tried Saga, All Clear and RSA.

We want to be able to go Stateside or Canada on our travels and so would be great to find a cost effective option. Happy with high excess if necessary.

thanks
