Port of Miami Tunnel, first timers-must see!

They are in the planning stages of constructing a tunnel underneath the channel that the cruise ships berth in to alleviate traffic.

It's a massive undertaking said to be completed in 2012. I'm sure y'all realize there aren't many tunnels in Florida.

I'm posting this for those who have never been to the Port of Miami and those that love to watch the History Channel show, Modern Marvels.

Can you imagine security....I wonder if you'll pass once before you enter the tunnel and again at the port? Can't be too careful.

I commuted through the Lincoln Tunnel for almost 20 years never gave it a thought. After 911 switched to the GW Bridge. :o
