Kimd1971 Posted June 24, 2023 #1 Share Posted June 24, 2023 We have a cruise booked with two rooms. If we were to change one of the rooms from 2 guests to 3 how would that work as far as fees, deposits paid, etc.? I understand we will have to book a different room. Thanks for any help! pcvtmom Posted June 24, 2023 #2 Share Posted June 24, 2023 Your best bet is to contact a PVP from Carnival. It certainly can be done. We did it one year when my son realized (last minute) that he was free to cruise with us. As you said, you may need to move to a room that can accommodate 3, is you aren't already in one.
NJJenLyn Posted June 28, 2023 #3 Share Posted June 28, 2023 (edited) We just did this when we added my son's girlfriend to our cruise. The catch for us was that we had two cabins booked on casino offers - and those were no longer available. So I lost my onboard credit and drink card when we rebooked 'my' cabin to a 3 person, and we had to pay the difference based on the current rate for the 3 person cabin. 😞 Also that meant we are no longer in adjacent cabins. *sigh* Fortunately for us, before we sailed, we got new postcards with casino offers. It cost us $70 to rebook - again - with the new 'promotion' but that got me $50 onboard credit and a drink card. Since I'm certain I'll save more than $20 in drinks it was worth it for us. We had paid in full already and yes all that transferred to the new booking without any issues at all. Bottom line it is definitely doable (obviously as long as cabins for 3 are still available,) but be sure you ask what perks you may lose if your original booking had *anything* on it that was a limited time promotion. Do it soon as possible/ Once the spots are filled, they are full.
