Knitting Basics activity

One of my fondest memories is this. We had a young girl on a transatlantic and there were no other young girls her age. She was home schooled and maybe around 11. She was taught to knit on this cruise and it was utterly charming how happy she was. When the long cruise ended, she cried and so did we all. Loved her.

On my first HAL cruise in 2017, they had a regular knitting group that met in the Crow’s Nest each morning. My daughter and I were cruising together and she knit most of a river otter during that cruise!

On my first QM2 Transatlantic, there was a regular crafting group that met in the Carinthia Lounge every afternoon - I actually think it was only scheduled for a couple of days, but we all just kept showing up and taking over one of the corners.
