Marseille pot of call

Does anyone have any inspiration/inspiration for excursions or tours  for our afternoon stop in Marseille? We want to get OUT of the city to enjoy the countryside but the Seashore doesn’t dock until 1:00.

Any help would be appreciated!

We crossed the street outside the port gates, crossed the square to the metro and took the train to the train/bus station. Bought a ticket for the coach to Aix-en-Provence en Provence. Lovely town. Worth the trip. Marseille is nice too but we had done it previously. Ken

With only six hours (more like 4-1/2 to 5 with clearance and back on board time) I would look at a ship excursion. Depending on which pier you dock at it there could be a 20 minute walk to the gate. The port's free shuttle bus is notoriously slow.
