Pre Cruise Land Tour Worth It? - Windstar Legend

Hi were traveling on our first Windstar cruise, Windstar Legend, and they have a pre cruise land tour in Istanbul for 3 nights /4 days (2 1/2 full days of sightseeing) in a 5 Star hotel. I would love to hear from those that have been on a pre cruise land tour with Windstar before (extra points if it was the Istanbul one) to help us determine if its worth the extra $3k in terms of value and enjoyability. TIA.

My girlfriend and I did it several years ago. Thoroughly enjoyed it - excellent guide and only 5 people on the tour. I have also done Istanbul on my own several times - saw many of the same places but not easy to get everywhere and certainly a higher stress level. On the tour we were able to see everything that would have taken us far more time to see on our own. Pricey, yes and I don’t do the cruise tours on most cruises but I think Istanbul was worth it.

Did a pre cruise land tour in China several years ago. It was fantastic, so worth it!
