Any suggestions of what to do once we get off the ship? Our flight home isnโ€™t until 5:00 from CHS. We will not have a car and will have our luggage. Thanks for any ideas ๐Ÿ™‚

If you do not want to rent a car - store your luggage while you do something and get you to the airport - the best alternative would be to go to a nearby hotel and tip the bellman to hold your luggage while you do your walkabout.ย

You will not have a lot of time as CHS airport is about 10 miles away in N. Charleston. There are plent of hotels/inns along Market Street and in the historic section generally that would probably store your luggage

Things to do:

wak Market St.

Go into the old slave market along Market St. - There are tons of vendors and crafts available.

Buy a sea grass basket, as they are made locally and money stays local. If you had a car Iwould suggest going out towards McClellanville/Isle of Palms and you could find better prices on sea grass baskets.ย
If you were so inclined you could take a tour of Fort Sumter, and here the War of Northern Aggression started. ๐Ÿ˜ƒ

A carriage tour of downtown Charleston, you will find them along Market Street

Have a great trip
