shiny2000 Posted July 9, 2023 #26 Share Posted July 9, 2023 Just out of curiosity, I have a $1200 OBC from the 3 day sale last month for a 20 day Transpacific. The new price is slightly lower on this sale. Do I lose that OBC if I refare?
Purple Gallinule Posted July 9, 2023 #27 Share Posted July 9, 2023 We have three cruises booked for 2024. I checked all three and came up with a total savings of $2. Oh well, thanks for letting me know, anyway. Do keep checking! We have save major dollars on refares in the past. And to shiny2000, we have never lost any OBC on refares, but that does not mean it couldn't happen.
Notaworryintheworld Posted July 9, 2023 #28 Share Posted July 9, 2023 I tried chatting and they said I didn’t qualify for the price drop because it wasn’t a new booking. I guess I could cancel and rebook? But should I try chatting again and getting a different agent, maybe? This is our first princess cruise so I wasn’t sure the best way to do it. How do we keep just missing each other??? 😪 *** 😞 Hopefully one day.
candy4040 Posted July 9, 2023 #30 Share Posted July 9, 2023 I'm currently on hold with my TA. So far I would save $1100 on my cruise - they somehow allowed me to book as a solo without charging me the normal supplement. I actually went in to Princess and did a mock booking. Hope it works out. I'm in an interior cabin and they discounted it 50% and still had OBC. Happy Days!

You wouldn't lose OBC not related to the 3-day sale.
FirstTeacher Posted July 10, 2023 #32 Share Posted July 10, 2023 Thanks to you, OP! I saved over $1500 on my May 2024 cruise, and I got to keep the $400 casino OBC from my original booking! This made my day!

It goes to Hawaii, Tahiti, the Samoa’s, and a couple Fiji. You can switch 🙂 I'm on that cruise, too, with six others. Can't wait!
Redwing55 Posted July 12, 2023 #34 Share Posted July 12, 2023 I'm always hoping but the "sale" fare is over $1000 pp more for our 14 day Carr. Go figure. Makes me more grateful that we booked when we did. Glad some of you are seeing the savings.
