What time to get to the cruise ship?

What is the earliest time we should get to the cruise ship? We will be coming from a hotel in Athens. For Caribbean cruises we we usually get there about 10:30 and are on the ship by 12:00. Is Athens the same?

Depends on which cruise line and what time passengers are allowed to embark. We sail Viking Ocean.  Boarding time begins at 11 am no matter what cabin class or country from which we sail.  Takes about 15 minutes to board.

Unless the cruise line has told you otherwise, the boarding process/timing in Europe is pretty much exactly as you've experienced in Miami or elsewhere for your Caribbean cruises.  I'm usually a 10-10:30 arrival.  I like to get on the ship quickly and start the trip.  As in the States, sometimes I have to wait around before they start the process.
