Happy with Guaranteed cabin?

@elliotlake12, I think the problem is apples and oranges.  The low fare you are quoting approximates booking the "lead-in" lowest category for Mini-Suites (ME).  The price you have mentioned for selecting own cabin is more like MA, one of the top categories.  So, you are paying for a better location as well as the selection surcharge (if want to call it that).

 

If you were to book a ME and pick your cabin, the difference is about $225 CAD, which is in line with what I posted earlier.  If you select a cabin, you get refundable deposit.  You can book GTY at a higher category level as well and also get a refundable deposit.

 

I'd still find a US agency at some point for a better deal.
