Has anyone done this shore experience?

I really want to go but it seems expensive.

Has anyone done it independently?

We have done both.

When we went on our own we were staying in Amsterdam so had no time restraints. We used public transport. It is a large 

garden so took a while to see it all. 

Our excursion was from Rotterdam.  We had time to see everything but not go on the boat ride. I think it was worth the price for the lack of stress.

I’m booked on the Aurora cruise at Easter that was originally going to Amsterdam and is now Rotterdam. I want to go to Keukenhof and saw P&O did a tour. Now they’ve cancelled all the excursions ( I hadn’t booked it yet) and I’m still waiting for them to put the new excursions up! I think I will go with P&O as it seems a bit of a faff with public transport. As happy v says less stress.

We did a ship's tour when we docked in Amsterdam, which I think was a half day tour. It is well worth doing and  we could have spent a lot more time there.

I did it with a different cruise line, in 2019. I can't remember how much it cost, but Keukenhof was beautiful and I enjoyed my time there.  There's a lot to see  and it seemed a worthwhile excursion.
